Unclaimed Funds [Second Notice]

NOTICE OF UNCLAIMED FUNDS AND OTHER LIQUID ASSETS  HELD BY VAPR FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. 

The persons whose name and last known address are listed HERE are entitled to claim amounts pertaining to accounts that have been inactive or dormant for five years or more.  

A report was filed with the Commissioner of Financial Institutions, in accordance with Act No. 36 of July 28, 1989, as amended, stating unclaimed funds and other liquid assets held by VAPR FEDERAL CREDIT UNION until June 30, 2024. 

A copy of the initial report filed with the Commissioner of Financial Institutions is available for review in a conspicuous place at any branch of VAPR FEDERAL CREDIT UNION until November 30, 2024, and also HERE.  

The accounts claimed shall be payable by VAPR FEDERAL CREDIT UNION by November 30, 2024, to those who prove to be entitled to their payment. 

In accordance with the Abandoned and Unclaimed Money and Other Liquid Assets Act [Act No. 36 of July 28, 1989], as amended, any sum of money or liquid asset that is not claimed from the Credit Union shall be transferred to the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions, to whom all claims shall be addressed. 

On December 10, 2024, unclaimed amounts will be transferred to the Commissioner of Financial Institutions, which will end all kinds of liability from VAPR FEDERAL CREDIT UNION.
